Tommaso Aggraziato Pro Road Bike (Professional)
The Tommaso Aggraziato Pro hits the sweet spot in carbon road bikes. All the great Shimano Ultegra components you could possibly want on a Tommaso at a price only Giantnerd can offer. It is the complete package with a carbon fork, FSA Omega 50/34 crank with MegaEXO bearings, Shimano Ultegra components, Shimano RS10 wheels, Hutchinson Equinox tires and Tommaso TRS components. How does Tommaso make bikes at such great prices? Easy, they don't expect customers to pay for the marketing budget of a pro tour team or over-hyped advertisements. At Tommaso Bicycles the employees do all the real world testing 365 days a year in house…well, on the road, the mountains, the trail, and the path. At Giantnerd we have online bike purchasing dialed. No more smug attitudes at the local bike shop because you don't feel the need to sell a kidney to buy a bike. Like the say at Tommaso: We want you to "Over Play" not "Over Pay!" The Aggraziato Pro starts with the same light and responsive 12K monocoque carbon frame you will find on our highest level carbon bike. The TRS monocoque frame and carbon fork with carbon steer have been engineered to handle quickly, float up mountains and carve down the other side. Just in time for Summer Tommaso is excited to announce its new carbon frame with tapered headtube and fork. This will appear exclusively on the Tommaso Aggraziato Pro 1.0 with updated racey yellow decals. Get more stability and power into your ride with the 1-1/8" to 1.5" tapered headtube. With a larger bearing and broader front end the new Tommaso carbon frame provides a stable platform for sprinting, climbing and descending. Bigger is better and you will quickly feel the performance advantage of our new frame. The 6700 Ultegra shifters are paired with the 6700 Shimano Ultegra rear derailleur and Shimano 6700 front derailleur. The Shimano Ultegra STI controls with hidden cables allow for sure handed shifting and braking without removing your hands from the handlebars. Keeping the bike glued to the ground are Shimano's RS10 wheels. The TRS Tommaso saddle has more padding on the saddle's pressure points to aid with comfort. The racy-sleek saddle is finished in a custom silver color that matched the handlebar wrap perfectly. The FSA Omega compact crank with external bottom bracket bearings is ideal for cyclist looking to get to the next level. The 50/34 chainring combination on the crank is a slightly smaller gear for those of us that aren't racing the Tour de France this year. It enables the user to climb with less stress on the knees and joints while cruising quickly along the flats and descents. The compact crank makes for less complex shifting than a triple and is lighter. The Tommaso Frame The Tommaso Aggraziato Pro's foundation is a state of the art carbon frame that shares from the same design concepts found on the top of the line Tommaso bikes. Tommaso uses a compact geometry and detailed tubing lengths per frame size. This ensures that the rider gets the lightest, strongest and best performing and fitting frame for the dollar. The compact design and geometry place the rider in the optimum position for steady handling and comfort. The Aggraziato has a carbon fork to absorb the high-frequency buzz from the road. This means more miles of comfort and better handling. Tommaso Aggraziato Pro 1.0 Frame Get more stability and power out of your ride with Tommaso's new monocoque 12k carbon frame with tapered head tube technology. This newly designed Tommaso frame and full carbon fork energizes your ride with high performance technology. The 1-1/8" to 1.5" tapered head tube supports a larger bottom headset bearing and widens the stance of the front end to a stout 1.5" over the industry standard 1-1/8" heat tube. Don't get left behind-bigger is better and you will quickly feel the performance advantage of the new Tommaso frame. The larger format frame allows the rider to push through the corners harder with more confidence and is a rock solid launch pad for those town sign sprints. Ride the same technology as the Tour de France riders without having to take the whole month of July off to race. Step up to the new Tommaso frame with the Aggraziato Pro 1.0 and get a jump on the competition! Tommaso, and other big names in cycling, such as Giant, Specialized, Trek, Masi, and Felt to name a few, rely on compact geometry to best serve the needs of the customer. Compact geometry has a number of advantages for the rider. First of all, the phrase "compact geometry" is signifying that the top tube (the bar you stand over when not in motion) is sloped downward from the front to the rear of the bike. This enables the rider to get on and off the bike easily. Traditional frame geometry has a top tube that is parallel to the ground and harder to get a leg over. By sloping the top tube we get into the second benefit of the compact frame: With less material used in producing the frame a lighter frame can be produced. Third, the more material sitting lower on the bike the better the bike will handle. By lowering the center of gravity the bike wants to descend, corner and sprint better. The Tommaso Fit Sizing a compact bike is no different, or more difficult, than any other style of bike. By reviewing the size chart you will see a measurement called the "Eff Top Tube", also known as the Effective Top Tube Measurement. This is what the top tube would measure if it was parallel to the ground. It is an imaginary line the runs from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat tube if the seat tube was extended like a traditional frame. The size chart also lists suggested heights for the different frame sizes. This is far more helpful in sizing a bike than standing over the top tube and pulling up on the handlebars (which tells you nothing about the fit of a bike). Tommaso offers seven sizes to accommodate riders large and small. It will be easy to find a fit for all of our customers. The stem can also be flipped and adjusted for a lower back-friendly position to a more streamline position in minutes. The lower top tube keeps the center of gravity low and the makes for an easy approach to getting on the bike. This Tommaso bike was designed with the user's needs and comfort as the #1 priority. The Tommaso Feel Tommaso spent a lot of time on choosing what makes a bike enjoyable to ride. Tommaso upgraded the saddle to the lightweight and sleek TRS Racing saddle for added comfort. The handlebar wrap was chosen for its comfort and durability. The compact gearing is perfect for all of us wanting to ride the open road no matter if it goes up, down or flat. The lightweight Tommaso carbon frame and carbon fork will be great company for many, many miles. There are plenty of carbon bikes on the market. Most manufacturer's use them to fill price points while focusing on the $6,000.00 dream machines that are given to the pro's (at the consumer's expense) or bikes that find their way into only a few garages. At Giantnerd our philosophy is simple: Ride, just ride. We want everyone to enjoy the experience and feel good about their bike. We realize that there are other things you will need while cycling and we keep prices low so you can get them all. What will you need? A helmet, spare tube kit, water bottles and cages, shorts, jerseys and most of all the desire for adventure. 2010 GT Force Carbon Expert Mountain Bike (All Mountain)
The world of All Mountain riding is not about playing it safe and compromising. It's about pushing yourself and burying your fear in the dirt and the GT Force Carbon Expert is the bike for that job. Have you ever seen the perfect path on the trail and were without the machine to take you there? Maybe the drop-offs were a little too big or the banked corners were a little too steep? That is no longer a problem. With all the wonderful components working in unison the GT Force Carbon Expert is giving you license to get after it on the trail. You work too hard to not be able to play just as hard. GT's fully monocoque carbon frame offers superior stiffness and durability while shedding the unnecessary weight found in aluminum frames. Combining this shallow footprint with the GT Independent Drivetrain suspension , riders are guaranteed a firm, smooth and efficient ride. According to GT, this Independent Drivetrain "isolates the movement of the bottom bracket from the front and rear triangles of the bike, keeping the distance from the seat to the bottom bracket constant", thereby minimizing "pedal feedback", or "a loss of pedaling efficiency caused by rear suspension compression." GT has rigged this mountain bike with a Fox Float RP23 Rear Shock, a Fox TALAS 32 front fork with adjustable travel from 110 - 150mm with air spring pressure. The rear shock blends seamlessly with the Independent Drivetrain to give you a solid, elite-level and smooth ride on all parts of the mountain. The Ritchey Pro Rizer 620mm bars and Thomson Elite X4 stem will be at your command from your commanding perch upon the Thomson Elite seatpost and Fizik Gobi XM saddle. Topping all of this off is Shimano's famous XT components. We're talking XT Rapid Fire shifters, XT front derailleur, XT Shadow rear derailleur and the XT Hollowtech 2 cranks. Moving all this amazing technology is Shimano XT hubs laced to Mavic XM-719 disc wheels with 15mm thru-axle and Kenda Nevegal 26 x 2.3 front /2.1 rear tires. With this arsenal of technology you are free to fly! 2009 GT Sanction 2.0 Mountain Bike (Freeride)
The modern bicycle was invented in the mid-19th century so it is safe to say that Sir Isaac Newton never owned a mountain bike. However, had he owned a GT Sanction 2.0 , he surely would have discovered classic physics much sooner than being hit in the head by a piece of fruit You see, when riding the Sanction 2.0, you will very quickly learn that when you are in motion, you will totally stay in motion. Luckily, the friendly folks at GT are familiar with this concept and have given you all the tools you need to both stay in motion, and if you so chose, mingle with outside forces. The 6061 monocoque frame is burly enough to maintain momentum while the 6 inches of rear wheel travel will ensure there is no wasted work. The SRAM X.7 shifters will smoothly utilize some solid mechanical advantage while the Avid Juicy 5 hydraulic disc brakes will keep you well within control of both friction and outside forces. However, gravity is constant. So be prepared to encounter any equal and opposite force with the RockShox Domain front fork with 160mm of travel and the rear chock's FOX DHX Air 4.0. Who said physics is boring? Monocoque Aluminum Frame SRAM Components Free Ride Bike
Ridley X-Fire - Ultegra Build Bike White/Red, 52 Ultegra
As crisp, cool air takes over for the soul-crushing heat of summer and the leaves start making their fiery descent to brown, you'll hear the clang of cowbells echoing from parks and farms for miles around. Answer the call aboard the Ridley X-Fire Ultegra Bike. The X-Fire occupies the second step in Ridley's podium of 'cross bikes, and only loses out to the X-Night by the slimmest of margins. Put another way, if the X-Night were out of the race, the X-Fire would be left to lap the field on its own. A 24-ton carbon fiber layup ensures stiffness and compliance in all the right places, and the 4ZA Oryx fork soaks up the little rattles while providing exceptionally precise steering.
GT Force 1.0 Mountain Bike (All Mountain)
The 2011 GT Force 1.0 Mountain Bike features the GT 6061-T6 Monocoque aluminum frame with Independent Drivetrain suspension. Giving you a full 150 mm of travel to work with this frame will take you anywhere on the mountain. The idea with the Force frame is to be strong and stiff while saving the weight for the dumbbells in the gym. All Mountain isn't just a phrase with the Force 1.0 either, it features a Rockshox Revolation RL Dual air rear shock and the Fox Float RP2 fork to give you a full 6 inches of travel so you can take the proverbial bull by the horns. To match a frame so well thought out, GT matched high-performing SRAM components - crankset, bottom bracket, front and rear derailleur, shifters - with GT's front hub, rear hub, and handlebar. What isn't SRAM or GT is equally as durable: Maxxis Ardent tires, Avid Elixir front/rear brakes and brake levers, WTB race saddle and FSA Orbit X headset round out the components for a stellar package. Put all this together and the GT Force 1.0 truly is a force to be reckoned with. PEDALS: This bike does not include pedals. Nerds, don't fret we have a selection fit for a King!
