2011 Devinci Dexter XP Mountain Bike. div align=centeriframe width=350 height=208 src=http://www.youtube.com/embed/7v15GWulWOI?rel=0 frameborder=0 allowfullscreen/iframe/div br /br / The explosive acceleration of a super-light XC racer. The bump-taming plushness of a mid-travel trail bike. You get the best of both worlds in the 110mm travel Devinci Dexter. Handmade in Canada from a special blend of 6066-T6 aluminum alloy, the Dexter's frame is hydroformed, triple-butted and features a tapered CNC-machined headtube for a near-fanatical degree of front-end stiffness and steering precision. The Dexter's rear-end duties are handled by the Split Pivot designed by Dave Weagle, creator of the famed dw-link. The Split Pivot design totally isolates pedaling and braking forces, allowing you to accelerate efficiently without bobbing, and to brake efficiently without sacrificing a whit of small-bump suppleness. If you love tearing it up on the flats, railing the berms on descents and out-of-the-saddle climbs that don't make you feel like you're pedaling on a pogo stick, you're gonna love Dexter. The Dexter XP features a RockShox Reba RL fork, Shimano Deore/SLX drivetrain and durable SunRingl Equalizer/Formula wheelset.

This is your Mission if you choose to accept it. The Diamondback Mission both lays and supports the "all-mountain" foundation amongst Diamondback's full-suspension line. Essentially unchanged since its inception in 2007, the Diamondback Mission is built to offer you the range, reliability and flexibility needed to truly ride the entire mountain. While there are four separate Mission models, each model is perfectly capable of standing on its own. This is impressive for two reasons. First, the Mission has only two wheels and no kickstand. Second, each Mission has been coronated with a weapons-grade aluminum frame and Diamondback's piEce de rEsistance , the Knuckle Box. Combining the martial metal frame material and manipulating the pivot locations of the Knuckle Box design, Diamondback has created a frame that "has very low chain growth values, resulting in imperceptible to non-existent pedal feedback." However, while it would be a mistake to assume the Mission 1 inferior, the true differences between the Mission models are seen in the varying components. For example, the Mission 1 all-mountain bike has been equipped with SRAM X-5/X-7 shifters and derailleurs, a Truvativ Power Spline bottom bracket, a Easton EA30 stem/seatpost and a DB SL318b oversize 31.8mm handlebar. It should be noted that all models have the Fox 32 Float RL air front fork (the Mission 3 has an additional "FIT" damping cartridge). It's rare for a mountain bike to efficiently balance big travel with a chassis that wouldn't make a great boat anchor too. As weight is dropped, structural integrity usually drpos too, but Rocky Mountain pulled out all the stops to ensure its Slayer 70 flagship won't weigh you down or ride like a wet noodle. Hydro-formed tubing, flex-free ABC bearings, and CNC'd goodies keep the Slayer pointed, while choice Fox Shox squishy bits keep your tires planted, whether you're climbing a tech-gnar section or mach-ing singletrack bliss.
